When Russell Reeves was 16 years old, he decided to leave behind the life of a farmer in Doyline and move to Shreveport to start a service station that sold gas, fishing baits, lawnmowers and just about anything to make ends meet. Now, 75 years later, that service station has grown into what the Shreveport-Bossier area knows as Reeves Marine.Russells passion for boating was passed to his two sons, Rodney and Rusty, who worked side by side with their Dad for 40 years.Reeves Marines new home is located at 2000 Reeves Marine Drive, directly across from the Century Tel Center in Bossier City.
